A stone giant bard, Julmund was adventuring away from his clan and investingating the giant cult wishing to bring back Annam when he got enslaved by a dwarf wizard, goliath cleric, and their band of raiders. Though initially believed to be a former raider incarcerated for some misbehavior, Julmund convinced a band of adventurers passing by to set him free and proved his worth by helping fight the other raiders and their leaders. He then joined forces with a sand giant the party had encountered earlier to continue his investigation. Julmund later went back to his tribe to warn them, but got there at the same time as three of the cult’s leaders and was no match for their persuasiveness. Julmund hopelessly challenged the tribe’s master to a fight to the death, but ended up running away when it became obvious he couldn’t win.
At a loss for better leads, he eventually seeked the assistance of Barend Balderk, a dwarf ally of the adventuring party that had freed him. Together, they reached the ruins of a millenia-old giant stronghold where they tought they could find information allowing them to reach the cult’s headquarters. However, an undead devourer was waiting for them and, in the ensuing fight, stole the life from Barend. Shortly after, Julmund and Zarecht reunited with the adventuring party who had come, although a bit too late, to rescue the dwarf. Julmund then began translating the few tomes found in the ruins, with the help of notes left behind by Melvas the Red, a deceased harper mage ally of Barend, allowing him to pinpoint the locations of portals leading to what is believed to be the giant cult’s base.
